Holocaust Educational Trust Appeal Dinner 2017

On Monday 16th October at our Appeal Dinner, we came together - supporters, Members of Parliament from across the House, and Holocaust survivors - to ensure that in today's challenging world of 'fake news' and 'post-truth', the facts of the Holocaust are taught and defended. As antisemitism continues to blight our society, we ensure we have the means to speak louder and clearer. In a world where hatred and extremism dominate the news, and where the terrifying march in Charlottesville can happen, we have rededicated ourselves to fight for young people to understand where hatred and intolerance can lead, and to empower them to speak out.

We were delighted to be joined by so many people, including our guest speaker, Andrew Neil, who gave us a fascinating insight into the contemporary issues we face, both inside and outside of the political arena; Robert Rinder, our wonderful compere; and Natasha Kaplinsky who gave a moving tribute to our Holocaust survivors.

In years to come, we will look back at this pivotal moment, a moment when the truth was threatened and, together, we fought back.
