Outreach Request Form for Schools

To enable us to process your enquiry please complete the form below. You should submit your request at least five weeks in advance of your preferred dates. We endeavour to meet all requests but cannot guarantee to do so. Please note that at this stage it is highly unlikely that we can meet new requests for January 2018. A good alternative would be our live survivor webcast. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for further information.

Our Programmes

We can arrange for a Holocaust survivor to visit your school and share their testimony. Survivors prefer to speak to large groups of students (generally a whole year group) and their testimony requires at least 90 minutes, including questions and answers. Survivors can only share their testimony once per day.

We also strongly recommend that one of our trained Holocaust educators leads an interactive workshop. Workshops can cover various aspects of the Holocaust. Options for our Educator Workshops are below.

Educator Workshops

Educator led workshop options for Key Stage 3 and above.

For each one-hour workshop, the maximum group size is 30 students. Sessions can be repeated throughout the day. If you are a primary school, one of our educators will be in contact to discuss the interactive workshops appropriate for this age group.

Important additional information

To help us place the most appropriate survivor/educator to your school please provide any relevant additional information (e.g. the ethnic and socio-economic make-up of your school, numbers of SEN pupils in each group. Have there been any racially motivated incidents in the area?)

Further Information

Your school will be asked to cover all travel expenses and accommodation costs necessary for survivors. Educator expenses are covered by the Trust. When using our educators we would suggest liaising with colleagues in other subject areas/year groups to ensure that educators are used for a full day if possible.

If you have questions regarding the Outreach Programme, please call the Holocaust Educational Trust on 020 7222 6822 and speak to a member of the education team.

The Holocaust Educational Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee, charity no: 1092892. We rely on individual donations to produce our resources and deliver our educational programmes, with the exception of the Lessons from Auschwitz Project, which is supported by a Government grant.
