Notice for Independent Schools in England
As you may know, the Lessons from Auschwitz Project is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) in England. From April 2019 there has been a change to our funding terms and conditions as issued to us by the DfE which means that students and teachers from independent schools will no longer be able to participate.
We are still keen to work with all schools; you as a teacher, and your fellow teaching colleagues are welcome to engage with the other educational programmes we offer such as our Outreach Programme whereby Holocaust survivors share their testimonies; some of the non-Lessons from Auschwitz CPD opportunities; and the educational resources and teaching tools we produce for teaching the Holocaust in the classroom.
In addition, all past participants on the Lessons from Auschwitz Project will continue to be Ambassadors. Our Ambassador team are happy to continue to support and engage with them. They can be contacted at ambassadors@het.org.uk.
