In response to the Palestine Live Facebook row, Karen Pollock MBE, Chief Executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust, said:
“Events of the last couple of days have reinforced the sad truth that Holocaust denial and antisemitism are still prevalent in our society – and particularly on social media.
“What is more worrying is that those who claim to have zero tolerance to this hate speech, stand by.
“By saying nothing and doing nothing, be under no illusion – this is complicity and gives antisemites license to thrive.
“It is crucial that hatred is challenged wherever and whenever it rears its head. No excuses.”
