Join us in July for #AmCon2017, a day of interactive workshops and thought-provoking talks led by experts in the field.

AmCon is a chance for you extend your knowledge, learn about new topics, and further explore the complexities of the topics touched upon during the Lessons from Auschwitz Project. You will meet and share ideas with Ambassadors from around the UK, ask questions, and consider how the Holocaust remains relevant today. We hope that you will leave feeling inspired to act in your role as an Ambassador, and even more committed to ensuring others remember the Holocaust.

Who is the Conference open to?

  • Ambassadors - that is, anyone who took part on the Lessons from Auschwitz Project whilst a student at college.
  • AS and A Level History students - you must currently be enrolled on a History AS or A Level course in the UK.
  • Teachers - we have a limited number of tickets available for teachers who will be able to join sessions tailored for teachers who deliver Holocaust education as part of the curriculum.

Why should I attend?

AmCon offers you a day of fascinating lectures and interactive workshops. You’ll further your knowledge of this complex history. You’ll consider how the Holocaust is relevant today. There will be an opportunity to hear the first hand testimony of a Holocaust survivor. You’ll receive a certificate of attendance, and it’ll look great on your UCAS application!

Travel Subsidies

We have a small number of travel subsidies available for ambassadors travelling from outside of London who require help towards the cost of travel to/from the Conference. However, as we are a small charity, these funds are limited and subsidies are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please complete and return this form to apply for a travel subsidy.
