Passports
All participants are required to have a valid passport for the visit to Poland. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of entry to Poland. Your passport must also be issued no more than 10 years prior to the date of entry to Poland.
If your passport is not issued by an EU country, you may need a visa to enter Poland. It is your responsibility to check your visa requirements with the Polish Embassy. If you are refused passage by the airline, either to or from Poland, you will be responsible for any additional costs incurred.
Visas
The Holocaust Educational Trust advises participants of the Lessons from Auschwitz Project to check their Visa requirements at their earliest convenience, as the processing time for a Schengen Visa can take up to one month and the procedure may be extended.
If you are a national of EU/EEA/EFTA countries you do not need a visa to travel to Poland and you can enter Poland provided that your passport is valid for at least three months after entering Poland. All passports must have been issued within the past 10 years.
How can the Trust help?
The Trust is unable to assist in obtaining visas for anyone wishing to participate on the course; the responsibility of arranging this lies solely with the participant.
However the Trust is able to write a letter confirming that you need a visa as a result of your participation on the course. Please email us for more information.
Where and how do I apply for a visa?
