Our next Ambassador Visit will explore the rich history of British Jewish communities and how antisemitism affected them, from pre-war immigration, through the Holocaust and life after the Second World War, with a specific focus on Manchester.

We will explore:
- Pre-war Jewish life and antisemitism: Jewish immigration to the UK, the rise of British fascism and Jewish communities in Manchester.
- Britain’s role in the Holocaust: What British society knew about the Holocaust and how the British government and society reacted.
- Post-war antisemitism and refugees: Antisemitic riots in Manchester and restrictions on immigration, as well as the lives of Jewish refugees and survivors in Manchester.
- British Jewish communities today: Experiences of young Jews in the UK today and Manchester’s current Jewish community.
Event Details
You will have access to various online resources, including an online introduction the previous week via Zoom, to ensure you have all the context you need to develop your knowledge around antisemitism, as well as British Jewish communities and Britain's role in the Holocaust.

Ambassador Visit: 10am-4:30pm, Monday 20th November, Manchester (exact venue shared upon confirmation of place)
