Yom HaShoah 2018

The Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day Yom HaShoah comes in at sundown on 11th April and ends at sundown on 12th April.

This year Karen Pollock MBE, Chief Executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust, will be on March of The Living for Yom HaShoah, and on the importance of the day said:

"Yom HaShoah is such an important time for the Jewish community. Now more than ever it is important that we come together to remember the six million Jewish men, women and children who were murdered by the Nazis. We must never forget, and never stop speaking out against antisemitism and hatred where ever it may occur.

We must continue to honour the memory of every victim of the Holocaust, and we thank every Holocaust survivor for the contribution they continue to make today, sharing their testimony with thousands of students every year. They are our inspiration”

The UK National Yom HaShoah Commemoration Event is on Sunday 15th April, 11:30am at The National Holocaust Memorial Gardens, Hyde Park.
