Creative responses to the theme of Holocaust Memorial Day 2022: ‘One Day’

To commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day 2022, we wanted to represent the theme of ‘One Day’ in a visual way that shares why it is so important to educate about the Holocaust today. It is always deeply moving to see that on Holocaust Memorial Day the world pauses to reflect on the Holocaust and subsequent genocides and make a pledge that hatred and discrimination have no place in society.

However, as Ambassadors, we know that our work must continue beyond this ‘One Day’ of remembrance. For this reason, we chose to look forward into the future, taking One Day to mean our aspirations for the future as Ambassadors for the Holocaust Educational Trust by sharing our answers to the question: ‘What do we hope the world will be like One Day, when we have learned the important lessons we can take from the Holocaust?’.

We also wanted to highlight this song and video from Ambassador Jack Pepper, produced in 2017, titled ‘One Day’.
