About

Formed in 2018, a committee of young professionals – HET 3rd Generation – recognised the lack of Holocaust education and awareness amongst their peers, and that they are likely to be the last generation to hear first-hand the testimony of a Holocaust survivor. They therefore want to encourageas many people as possible to hear from a survivor, visit Holocaust-related sites, and improve the education of their peers. The committee have organised several events already including a November 2019 visit to Poland.

April 2020 Trip

HET is organising another Third Generation two day trip to Poland on 29 - 30 April 2020.

On Day One, after arrival in Krakow we will embark on a walking tour of Kazimierz (the historic Jewish quarter) where we will explore the pre-war Polish Jewish community. We will then visit the Krakow Ghetto and learn about the fate of this Jewish community during the Holocaust.

On Day Two, we will start by visiting the Plaszow forced labour camp, and then move on to Auschwitz and Birkenau. Throughout the trip, we will be accompanied by HET educators.

The price is £389 per person (£40 single supplement) to include return flights from London Stansted Airport, accommodation at a 4* hotel in Krakow and all meals on both days.
