Karen Pollock CBE, Chief Executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust:
We are delighted to see champions of Holocaust education and remembrance, and powerful voices in the fight against antisemitism recognised in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours.
We are especially thrilled that our dear friend and Holocaust survivor Manfred Goldberg has been awarded an MBE for his extraordinary dedication to educating the next generation. His tireless efforts have had a profound and lasting impact, inspiring countless young people and deepening understanding of the Holocaust across the country.
Congratulations to Dr Paula Cowan, who has pioneered teaching and learning about the Holocaust for many years, and to Dr Dave Rich of the Community Security Trust, a leading voice in the fight against antisemitism, whose expertise and leadership have long served our community.
We are delighted to see both Paul Flaum, a long-time friend and supporter of the Trust and Paul Salver, a dedicated Holocaust Educational Trust educator rightly recognised in this list.
And a huge and heartfelt Mazel Tov to Tracy-Ann Oberman, a heroine to us all. Tracy-Ann is a powerful and inspiring voice, challenging anti-Jewish hatred in today’s febrile and difficult climate with bravery and integrity.
Congratulations to all recipients on an honour well deserved.
