Yom HaShoah, the Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day, comes in at sundown on 4th May and ends at sundown on 5th May.
Speaking about the importance of this day of reflection, Karen Pollock MBE, Chief Executive of the Holocaust Educational Trust, said:
"Yom HaShoah is an important time for the Jewish community to come together to remember the six million men, women and children who were murdered by the Nazis. As we sadly continue to see antisemitism here in Britain and across Europe, we work harder than ever to honour the memory of the victims and thank the inspirational Holocaust survivors for the incredible contribution they have made to our community and British society.”
