Our bespoke programme of events for Ambassadors has something for everyone. In the past, we’ve hosted events with the Imperial War Museum London and the Wiener Holocaust Library, as well as having Ambassadors participate in an art exhibition alongside the Jewish Museum. Every summer, we welcome Ambassadors from all over the UK to our annual Ambassador Conference to hear from some incredible speakers. Our events are open to any Ambassadors who have completed one of the Trust’s projects such as Lessons from Auschwitz, unless otherwise indicated. Read below to find out what’s coming up soon!

The Regional Ambassador Leadership Challenge has been designed to enable our Regional Ambassadors to complete the Regional Ambassador Programme with the Trust.

Regional Ambassadors chose one of three subjects to explore with their peers in relation to young people within the UK:

  • Contemporary Antisemitism
  • Holocaust Distortion
  • Misconceptions about the Holocaust

They have worked with their peers to explore one of the above challenges facing Holocaust education today using the knowledge and experience they have gained during their tenure, the expertise we offer and teamwork to explore these topics, and in doing so have created films, podcasts, websites and research pieces.

Group 1: Megan Austin, Anna Cardy, Jack Nicholls, Jess Reid and Kishen Sedani.

Our aim was to share ways that people can contribute (in a small way) to tackling contemporary antisemitism. We have created a podcast series with accompanying blog posts that young people can engage with to learn about the issue of contemporary antisemitism.

Below you can find their interview with Dr Dave Rich from the Community Security Trust (CST). A new podcast will be released each Tuesday.

Each podcast is accompanied by a blog post on their website antisemitismlearningforum.wordpress.com/  to expand on the conversation and the themes that came through.

Group 2: Peaches Brown Senior, Jamie Dickinson, Amelia Ireland and James Milton.

Through our project, we aimed to challenge contemporary antisemitism on social media by encouraging and equipping our peers to become active and effective allies in the fight against antisemitism on these platforms. To do this, we created a series of videos about contemporary antisemitism and how to counter it, under the hashtag #AlliesAgainstAntisemitism. We also created an accompanying document with further information and links to learn more.

  • Tropes and conspiracy theories
  • Anti-racists blindspot for antisemitism
  • Antisemitism on social media.
